  • Pro Tip: Charging above 80% on a DC Fast Charger slows down significantly to protect the battery.
  • AC vs DC: Use AC (7-11kW) for overnight charging. Use DC (50kW+) only for road trips.

Understanding Charging Levels

Level 1 (2.4 kW): Uses a standard household outlet. Extremely slow, adding only ~10-15 km of range per hour. Best for plug-in hybrids or emergencies.

Level 2 (7-22 kW): Dedicated wallboxes found in homes and public parking. Adds 40-100 km per hour. This is the standard for daily charging.

Level 3 (DC Fast / 50-350 kW): Bypasses the car's onboard charger to fill the battery directly. Can charge from 10% to 80% in 15-40 minutes depending on the vehicle's capability.
